The director for the film adaptation of steamy novel Fifty Shades Of Grey has been revealed.
Artist-turned-film-maker Sam Taylor-Johnson is to sit in the canvas chair for the movie, Breakingnews.ie reports.
Fifty Shades author EL James revealed the news to her fans on Twitter. She wrote: “I’m delighted & thrilled to let you guys know that Sam Taylor-Johnson has agreed to direct the film of Fifty Shades Of Grey.”
The novel, dubbed “mummy porn” across the world, sold more than 5.3 million copies to become the best-selling book of all time in the UK.
Taylor-Johnson is a relatively unknown director but has worked with similarly-controversial films before.
In 2006 she made a short film which featured a man pleasuring himself in the middle of Death Valley.
