Sounds like someone won’t be back for the Fifty Shades of Grey sequels…
According to reports this morning director Sam Taylor-Johnson wants out of the film franchise despite ‘signing on’ for the next two movies.
A source allegedly told The Sun newspaper: “Sam won’t be back for the Fifty Shades sequels. She wants out and Universal knows that’s the right decision.”
Sam with her husband, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
It seems Sam clashed with the author of the books E.L. James (real name Erika Mitchell) a lot during the production process and this has subsequently led her to question her involvement in the sequels.
The insider revealed: “Her relationship with Erika has become absolutely toxic – they despise each other and blame each other for the problems with the film.
“All the biggest arguments were about the sex scenes in the film. Erica wanted the movie to be loyal to the book and much more explicit.
“But Sam pushed back because she wanted the movie to be more than just a collection of S&M scenes. That made life on set completely impossible for Sam.”
The director is also said to have revealed this week, contrary to what she said on Friday, that the studio is yet to commit to said sequels in which case nobody will be back!
