Brendan O’Connor is set to bid farewell to The Saturday Night Show this weekend after five hugely successful years at the helm.
Joining Brendan on the final show will be Blur bassist Alex James who will be chatting about the band’s recent reunion and his award-winning cheese business.
Oliver Callan will be in studio to chat about the men behind a million voices, while celebrity chef Dylan McGrath will also be talking to Brendan about Taste of Dubin.
Meanwhile, Labour TD John Lyons will take to the couch with his mum Josie, while special performances on the night include The Willis Clan and 16-year-old Derry star Soak.
Speaking about the final show Brendan said; “It’s been an incredible run. I never thought when we took to the airwaves back in 2010 that we would receive such a positive reaction from viewers, so it’s been great.
“I want to say a huge thanks to Larry and the rest of the team for all their support and hard work over the years, it has been a privilege and a pleasure working with each of them.
“It’s been an amazing show to work on and it’s brilliant to be going out on such a high. And don’t forget, I’ll be back in the New Year with a brand new show so viewers won’t have the opportunity to miss me too much!”
The final episode airs this Saturday night (May 30th) at 9.40pm.
