An extra from THAT Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial has come forward

It hasn’t blown over just yet.

The backlash over the Pepsi commercial was deafening, so much so, that the company pulled the advertisement and publicly apologised to Kendall Jenner and the public after their protest-heavy ad fell flat on its face.

Since the commercial was pulled Kendall has remained silent, but it seems the public aren’t quite finished just yet.

An extra has come forward under the protection of anonymity to discuss what it was like participating in the commercial.

Although the protest in the ad appeared to take place in the U.S., the commercial was actually shot in Thailand in order to keep costs down.

Speaking to People.com the extra explained why he didn’t feel bad after the backlash,

“I don’t live in the U.S.A. Maybe if I lived there and knew the [issues] before then, maybe I would feel bad, but I didn’t know anything, so I don’t feel bad.”

“The commercial had hip-hop dancers and we were all together as humans,” he says. “I think they tried to show the meaning that people from every country can be together. That’s what I had understood, but maybe now I’m misunderstanding.”

Meanwhile, last night American sketch show Saturday Night Live took the opportunity to poke fun at the commercial, which we kind of expected.

It’s pretty hilarious with an important message… “Live and learn”.
