Ewan McGregor’s ex-wife had a harsh reaction to his Golden Globes speech

We don't blame her.

Ewan McGregor's ex-wife Eve Mavrakis reacted the way you would expect her to after hearing his speech at the Golden Globes. He took to the stage last Sunday to collect his award for Best Actor in a Limited Series. During his speech, he thanked Eve and also his new girlfriend, Mary Elizabeth Winstead. He said:

"I want to take a moment to say thank you to Eve. Who always stood by me for 22 years. To my four children, Clara, Ester, Jamyan and Anouk, I love you. There would be no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead. So thank you very much.”

Ewan and Eve's marital breakdown was not apparent when pictures first surfaced of Mary and Ewan kissing in October. Eve and Ewan then confirmed that they had split in November, after 22 years of marriage, much to everyone's surprise. The new relationship caused a few eyebrows to raise, so when he thanked both ladies in his speech it didn't go down too well. When asked how she felt about the speech, Eve told The Daily Mail:

"No, I did not like his speech. For the same reasons you are here asking me about it. I am not going to say any more."

Eve and Ewan have four children together, all under the age of 21.
