Ah, Jesus, c’mon lads.
Look, we all like a bit of Emmerdale.
Like, we don’t actually watch the show outside of work hours and can’t exactly follow most or any of the storylines without the help of a search engine, but whatever, it’s a good soap, it’s got drama, and it’s a nice way to round off the evening.
However, Emmerdale has seriously been drawing out this Lachlan situation and we – and everyone else – are simply not here for it.
If you’re not familiar with the level of frustration that viewers are experiencing, just think the Corrie Phelan storyline multiplied by like 80.
Tonight, Priya discovered a message that Rebecca had scratched into the cabin wall where she had been held by Lachlan before he ‘killed’ her or whatever happened.
This means that, coupled with the fact that she has seen Lachlan wandering about the place, Priya is starting to put 2 and 2 together and figure out what’s been going down.
A huge moment in the storyline, no doubt.
Doesn’t matter though because viewers are just too annoyed with how slow the whole thing has been going and how long it’s taken to even just get to this point.
They took their frustrations out on Twitter, because where else are you going to vent about your soap-based feelings on a Wednesday night?
“Ooo Priya saw the message… How ya gonna get out of this one Lachlan & drag this storyline on longer!” said one person.
“At this rate Rebecca will be alive in that suitcase somehow and will crawl out before Lachlan torches the place,” said another.
“How long will they drag out Pria finding the scratchings to something actually getting rid of Lachlan. 100 yrs or 1000 yrs?” asked somebody else, clearly very angry about the whole situation.
Honestly, we don’t know.
It could 100 years or it could be 1,000, lads. Looking fairly likely to be the latter at this stage.
