Everyone wants to know what happened afterwards for Max and Janine on First Dates Hotel

Fingers crossed!

Sometimes it's gas, sometimes it's a hard watch and sometimes First Dates has us in bits - never more so than when a well-suited pair come together. Fred and the gang are currently in Italy for First Dates Hotel, where the warm weather, cocktails and stunning views would make anyone feel amorous. One of the couples on Monday's episode appeared to have hit on something deeper, though.

Max and Janine were, by their own admission, "stupidly similar". Both of them had spent part of their childhoods in foster care and swapped life stories within minutes. They wandered off to dip their feet in the pool after their date, spent the next day together having a massage and signed off by telling us that this was the real deal, leaving viewers absolutely buzzing for them.

But we all wanted to know one thing... what happened next?

The episode ended with a sweet clip of Max coming to meet Janine's family, giving us real hope that they're in it for the long haul.

But rumours are swirling on Twitter this morning that it's all over for the young couple.

We couldn't track down where the rumours have come from so we've our fingers crossed that Max and Janine are still going strong.
