Add us as a preferred source on Google »A new year means a wave of new movies to tune into and there's one at the very top of our list. We Live In Time is one of the most anticipated films of 2025 and we're not one bit surprised.
Starring Academy Award nominees Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, the emotional drama is bound to be one of the biggest films of the year.
The film is directed by John Crowley, who is best known for directing Brooklyn, so you know it's going to be unbelievably moving.
The film is heartwrenching but surprisingly funny, and charming. Pugh and Garfield's chemistry is gripping, but their love story teaches the audience the most vital lesson.
We got to watch the film at an early screening in December and have not stopped thinking about it since. There are so many themes and touching moments woven throughout the film, but We Live In Time helped us realise just how precious life is.
As heartbreaking as it is, the movie will make you cherish the time you have.
We Live In Time follows the lives of Almut and Tobias who meet after a surprise encounter that changes their lives forever. As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of their unconventional love story.
The film is being praised by cinema-goers with many saying it's one of the best romantic dramas.
However, fans have been warned that it is an extremely heartbreaking watch.
One fan said, "We Live In Time was the saddest film I have ever seen. I cried for the entire movie I'm not even kidding."
"We Live In Time is a beautiful film with powerhouse performances from both Andrew and Florence. When the credits rolled everyone was in complete silence, which is testament to just how incredible this story was told. If you do see it, make sure you have tissues by your side," another wrote.
"Pugh and Garfield deliver powerful, raw performances that will leave you in tears," another said.
The film is a heartbreaking watch but it's worth seeing on the big screen, even if you do end up crying like a baby in the theatre.
We Live In Time is in cinemas now.
