Emmerdale’s Amelia to be abducted in ‘dark’ and ‘upsetting’ upcoming storyline

Things are only going from bad to worse in the Dale.

Emmerdale, as a rule, just isn't as gritty as Coronation Street.  When's the last time you heard of someone go on a murderous rampage on Emmerdale? When did producers decide to tackle an intense sexual assault storyline concerning male rape? It just isn't as upsetting to be honest and that's kind of why people tend to like it so much... because you don't feel stressed after watching it. Anyway, in a surprising twist of events, things are about to get fairly dark in the Dale over the next few weeks. The Sun reports that Daz's young daughter Amelia is going to go missing and that the scenes that follow are going to be "dark" and "upsetting." Unreal. Mark Jordan, who plays Daz, told the publication that viewers are going to be fairly shocked when they find out what happened to Amelia, leading us to believe that the girl gets abducted and isn't just simply missing. There's even been talk of Daz himself kidnapping her. Grim enough, in fairness. Jordan said:

“It definitely turns dark and there are some really upsetting scenes to come.

“There’s a lot [of talk] about Daz kidnapping her, since he has been pushed out of the village from his brother. 

“It may be one of numerous things but I think that whatever has set it off – it might be the surprise later that everybody else will invest in. It’s not what it seems.”
