Well, that was an episode.
It seems like our prayers were all answered tonight when it was announced that Charlie and Hayley will be leaving the Love Island villa.
Yes, Hayley was getting on our nerves a little bit with her comments, and constant I-don’t-like-him-even-though-I-picked-him attitude.
But, off they pop back to the UK, probably to be seen (numerous) times again.
And in their exit interview, Hayley said: “It’s obviously not nice being the first couple dumped from the Island but to be honest, I feel okay because I know it’s not the end of the journey.
“I do feel like Alex and Samira really were compatible, maybe not in a romantic way but in a friend way. It is called Love Island, not Friend Island but I wish them both the best of luck.”
She also said that she feels like people are faking it to stay safe in the villa.
“I do feel like right now it is early days so people obviously want to stay in to find someone if they haven’t yet. Some people might be using people as a safety net for the time being.”
And as for Charlie, well… that’s not going to happen.
“I’ll see him at the wrap party. But this is the end of us as a couple but I won’t be bitter. It just is what it is.”
While on the other hand, Charlie said that he didn’t think it was his time to go, and he might have been “compatible” with someone else, if he was given the time.
“I am gutted about leaving the villa, I would love to still be in there with the boys. I do feel a bit hard done by in that sense, I don’t feel it was my time to go at all I feel like I just got unlucky and invested my time wrong.
“I can understand why the Islanders voted me and Hayley as less compatible because obviously we weren’t compatible. She is not compatible. I feel like I am a compatible person. I wanted someone to be with me but she wasn’t ready for that I don’t think. The same thing happened with Eyal.
“Knowing what I know now, 100 per cent I would have looked elsewhere but I wouldn’t have done anything differently because I did fancy her. I was trying to crack on with Hayley but I don’t feel like I was getting anything back.”
With all the drama that happened this week on the show, we can only imagine what next week will bring.
Love Island is on every night at 9pm on 3e.
