Ed Sheeran’s support act has been confirmed and it’s just perfect

Ahead of Ed Sheeran's summer gigs, his support act has just been announced it's the best person we could have hoped for.

Solo artist Anne Marie confirmed this morning that she would be joining Ed for his tour, which includes nine Irish dates. The singer will be on stage before Ed for all of the gigs when he comes to Galway, Cork, Belfast and Dublin, in May. Sharing the good news with fans, she said, "THE SECRET IS FINALLY OUT. I am supporting my favourite human on tour this year! I can't wait. this is gan be FUN!"

Earlier this week, one of Ed's Croke Park dates was put in doubt after it was revealed that Prince Harry had asked him to play at his wedding on May 19. Thankfully, he is sticking to his original plan and won't be leaving Irish fans down. Warner Music confirmed, "Ed will be on stage at the Dublin location as planned." PHEW!
