Former Eastenders star Ross Kemp won’t be returning for the soap’s 30th anniversary celebrations due to prior filming commitments.
Previous reports have suggested that Ross would reprise his role as Grant Mitchell alongside his on-screen mother Peggy who has been confirmed for the episodes.
Speaking to The Gloucester Citizen, Ross said “I can’t join her. It’s just about space in my diary”.

“I would never rule out going back to EastEnders, I owe it a heck of a lot. I think it’s a great show” he added.
The anniversary episodes, which are to include some live elements, will start the week of February 16th.
Lucy Beale’s killer will finally be revealed, the Nick Cotton plot will become even more complicated and Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner) is also set to make a return… WE CAN’T WAIT.
