Eastenders star Khali Best, who plays Dexter Hartman, has been suspended from Eastenders for three months for bad behaviour both backstage and outside of work.
The news comes just a couple of months after Best was awarded Best Newcomer at the Television Awards for his performance on the show.
An EastEnders spokesperson told Digital Spy: “Khali Best has been suspended from EastEnders for three months. We will not comment any further on this matter.”
Although the exact details are being kept low key, the Daily Star are reporting that Best broke the show’s code of conduct. He has apparently also broken the terms of his contract which is worth £50,000 a year.
It’s not the first time Best has been in trouble with the show. He has been fined on a number of occasions for being late in the past.
Best isn’t the only actor that has been suspended from the show this year. Ricky Norwood, who plays Fatboy, was handed a three-month suspension when an online video emerged of him smoking drugs.
