EastEnders star Shane Richie has spoken out about how one of his upcoming storylines is the “biggest curveball” of his soap career. The actor told RadioTimes.com that the drama isn’t over for his character Alfie Moon or his wife Kat (played by Jessie Wallace). Speaking about the secret, he revealed: “It’s the biggest curveball I think Alfie has ever been thrown in the 13 years that I’ve been here.” The couple's luck seems to be changing (image via BBC). He added: “It will be interesting to see the reaction. Just when you think they’re finding happiness, something like this happens. “It’s a dark secret that Alfie takes to Ireland with him. The audience will know, but no one else will.” Alfie and Kat have landed their own six-part spin-off series which is set in Ireland and will air next year.
