EastEnders fans fear Dot Cotton is leaving the show for THIS reason

EastEnders fans were left shocked on Friday evening, as Dot Cotton appeared to make a surprise exit. There had been no previous mention of June Brown leaving the show, but fans are worried. In the episode, Dot decided to take a bit of time away, after a shocking discovery earlier that day. *Spoiler alert* Poor aul Dot was heartbroken, after her dear friend Dr Legg passed away following a battle with cancer in an episode last week. And so, Dot made the decision to leave, telling her granddaughter: “I’ve made up my mind. I’ve decided I’m going to go to Ireland and stay with my grandson Charlie and his family.” We'll welcome you with open arms, Dot. Adding fuel to the fire, the official EastEnders Twitter account said: "It’s time for Dot to move on. And we couldn’t be sorrier to see her go." Naturally, fans totally freaked out. One fan wrote: “What?? Dot can’t be leaving for good.” Another said: “I thought June Brown had signed a new contract? Sad to see Dot go if she hasn’t.” A third asked: “Noooo has she left permanently?” We'll have to wait and see...
