EastEnders caused quite the stir by breaking the 9.00pm watershed on Thursday night.
During the episode Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) called her brother Max Branning (Jake Wood) a “complete and utter b*****d.”
Writer Daran Little took to Twitter to apologise to those who were offended by the line. (The tweet has since been deleted.)
He said: “Sorry if Carol’s choice of words offended anyone in tonight’s Enders. First time in a soap I’ve been allowed to write that word.”
