The soap showrunner is promising a very exciting summer of scandal.

EastEnder’s boss, Sean O’Connor has been speaking about his upcoming plans for the much-loved soap and tells fans they’re in for an amazing ride over the next few months. Revealing his plans are “crazily ambitious”, the showrunner said that we can look forward to seeing some old faces return to Albert Square. The show has been riddled with criticism as of late thanks to it’s ‘boring’ and inaccurate storylines. However, Sean says his plan for the soap will start becoming clear to viewers soon saying it’s going to get very exciting. “So, over the next few months, I gues what I’m promising is an extraordinary ride – I am genuinely exited,” he told Metro.co.uk. “It’s crazily ambitious – we’re pulling out all the stops to make it happened. Certainly for EastEnders it’ll be game-changing.” Sean then went on to tease the returning characters, saying: “It will involve all of the main characters – both new and legacy characters. There’s the return of the much-loved Robbie Jackson, his sister Sonia and a couple of other new and old faces arriving over ta fantastic summer which takes us into a very dramatic autumn. “Nobody has been left out. We’re all very excited about it.” Well, so are we Sean!
