EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick wants creators to kill his character off when he decides to leave the soap.
The actor, who plays Jay Brown, opened up about his perfect ending in a recent interview and said he wants to bring back his on-screen partner Lola for his departure.
Before Lola passed away, she spoke to Jay about how she would come back as a fox and he would come back as a rat. The actor said he wants to include this sweet joke in his exit too.
He told the Daily Star: “Well, I can’t do any better than hers, can I? So fine, kill me off. In the monologue which I say to her, I say I’ll be a rat and you can be a fox, and then there’s going to be a clip.
“I will sacrifice never coming back to EastEnders again just so we can have a fox and a rat rummaging through the bins as my final clip,” he said.
The soap star recently praised his on-screen partner Danielle Harold for portraying Lola’s storyline so perfectly.
Alongside a photo of them smiling together, he wrote: “Tonight we said goodbye to Lola and what a journey myself and Danielle Harold have been on!”
“Working together for all these years has been the best! She really is a special one,” he shared.
“Danielle has worked so incredibly hard delivering Lola’s cancer storyline and deserves all her praise as does the whole cast and team for their efforts! Gonna miss ya at work kid love ya,” he added.
