Add us as a preferred source on Google »How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days is without doubt one of the best romantic comedies of our time.
So hearing a sequel to the 2003 hit is reportedly in development is the best news we've heard in quite some time.
According to reports, Kate Hudson is allegedly planning on returning as Andie Anderson, the iconic 'how-to' girl and one of the most likable leading ladies we've had grace the scene.
MailOnline has claimed that a script is in development and it takes place just before Andie marries Benjamin Barry.
Matthew McConaughey will likely return as Benjamin Barry, but Kate Hudson is keen for another star to sign up for the project.
The actress is hopeful her own mother Goldie Hawn will join her for the project.
But where will she slot in?
The second installment follows Andie Anderson as she comes to terms with her and her mother's strained relationship.
She wants her mother to star as her on-screen mum but Hawn is reportedly reluctant.
An insider told the publication, "The only reason Goldie is not 100 percent ready to sign on is that in the new movie the two have a very strained relationship. In real life Kate and Goldie are more like sisters than mother and daughter.
"They share all their secrets and Goldie was even at the birth of Kate's three children," they explained.
"Goldie is worried she will find it really hard to play a mother who is at odds with her daughter," the source said.
"Kate’s begging her to do it but Goldie still hasn’t fully committed yet," they added.
There are plans for filming to begin in 2025, but neither Hudson nor McConaughey has addressed the rumours.
Kate Hudson says she and Matthew McConaughey are both open to returning for a sequel to ‘HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS.’
