Episode three is out NOW!

The most chat we’ve heard out of him all week, tbh.

It’s over, it’s done, the first islander has been unceremoniously dumped from the villa and very few of us are at all surprised.

Not because he didn’t deserve to stay, but just because he’s barely been on our screen all week, like.

The contestant in question is, of course, Callum, who left the villa earlier tonight after failing to be picked by any of the girls.

It was a stressful enough first official recoupling, as everybody waited on tenterhooks to see who Amber, Lucie, and new girl Molly-Mae were going to pick.

The rest of them we could’ve sort of guessed. No surprises there.

Callum exited the villa with a gentle smile on his face, clearly happy with how the experience had gone even if he wished he could have stayed in longer.

After the fact, Mr MacLeod (surprisingly) had a lot to say about his time in the villa, which was genuinely refreshing to see given that he was provided with little to none airtime while he was in there.

“It’s unfortunate that I didn’t meet anyone that I connected with but I had such good fun in there,” he said.

“Even though I didn’t meet anyone that I could potentially be with on the outside, I loved it, which is a great bonus. I would have taken any opportunity like this. It was a fabulous thing to do and a really positive thing in my life.”

Callum said that despite being the first out, he doesn’t think he would have done anything different couple-up wise.

He said that, ultimately, he was “true to myself” and that’s good enough for him.

“I didn’t fake anything,” he said. “It’s just unfortunate that there was no one in there that I connected with.

“But ultimately I’m 28, I’ve had a couple of serious relationships, I know what I’m looking for and it just didn’t come through the door on this occasion.”

Citing Curtis as his best mate in the villa, Callum said that he thinks he and Amy will go the distance. He said that he wasn’t surprised to be the first out, because it really could have been any of the guys – apart from Curtis, of course.

“We weren’t sure what the girls were thinking, I didn’t know what was being said, but like I keep saying, I didn’t want to force it and fake it because I didn’t think it was the correct manner to do so,” he said.

A gent, through and through.
