Dumbledore may appear in ‘Fantastic Beasts’ films

We hope so!

How amazing would this be?

Our favourite Hogwarts professor could be making an appearance in the new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

After it was announced that their could be up to five films in the new spin off, we were intrigued to find out more about them all.

It’s safe to say that neither Harry, Ron, nor Hermione will be appearing in these ones, as this story is set in 1920’s New York. That is, unless, they bring in some time travelling! (you really wouldn’t know with J.K Rowling.)

But one of our favourite characters is old enough to be around during that time.

Dumbledore was born in 1881 according to Pottermore which would make him in his forties in the Fantastic Beasts story-line.

So while they haven’t said he’ll definitely be appearing, we do know that he will be spoken about.

In a live-stream the producer of Fantastic Beasts, David Heyman, revealed:

“we do mention Dumbledore and he features in a wonderful scene between Colin [Farrell] and Eddie [Redmayne].”

“Grindelwald does feature in the background and is going to become a much more prominent feature moving forward.” He added.

Then JK Rowling hinted:

“I can tell you that we do talk about Dumbledore and Grindelwald.”

While we know he’s going to be at least mentioned in the spin-off we can only hope he’ll also make an appearance.
