Strictly Come Dancing producers have signed a Downton Abbey star for the upcoming season.
Nigel Harman played Mr. Green in Downton Abbey but is also known for his roles in Casualty and EastEnders.
Producers believe the actor will be the perfect contestant because he will appeal to middle-aged viewers.
A source told MailOnline: “Nigel is the perfect middle-aged hunk. He is handsome but also charming.”
“He’s the kind of guy that those watching at home will fall in love with and you always need one of those,” the source added.
They claim this year’s line-up is one of the best yet with a huge variety of stars taking part.
“He is among the first to confirm and he turns 50 this summer so it is a challenge of his own, too. The line-up is going to be a great mix.”
Other rumoured contestants include actor Adam Thomas, presenter Angela Scanlon, and Love Island star Zara McDermott.
Sources also claim singer Matt Willis and presenter Emma Willis could potentially sign up for the show.
Strictly Come Dancing won’t return to our screens until September, but it is set to be one of the show’s strongest seasons.
Producers are even considering bringing in presenter Holly Willoughby to host the show.
However, they have not yet confirmed if she will replace current hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
A source told MailOnline that the BBC has had its eye on Holly for years.
“BBC bosses want her and they have been plotting for some time to get her for their big shows,” they said.
“They know how popular she is, but it also has to be the right programme. Recently there has been talk around the BBC that Strictly would be a way to lure her over.”
