Doireann Garrihy just revealed the Podge and Rodge start date (and it’s soon)

Yes - today the start date for the highly anticipated return of Podge and Rodge was announced. Taking to Twitter, Doireann Garrihy retweeted the news which said: "STATUS GINGER WARNING! Save the date MONDAY 22ND OCTOBER @RTE2 #StormPodgeAndRodge will make landfall on yer telly!"

Doireann will be joining the terrible two of Ballydung Manor for what is expected to be a hit for adult audiences. Podge and Rodge aired between 2006 and 2010 and so, it has been a long eight years since we've last had this show appear on our TV. Doireann first announced the news on her Instagram in mid-August, sharing a promo image of the new show, the SPIN 1038 presenter wrote:

"Cat’s out of the bag. Podge, Rodge, let’s dzo this. Ballydung Manor here I come!!!"
