Declan Donnelly fires back at newspaper that attacked his appearance

Declan Donnelly has hit back at one paper who claimed he looked “dishevelled” on a recent trip to the supermarket. “Declan Donnelly looks dishevelled during food shop as best friend Ant continues his recovery from addiction,” read the headline on a story run by The Sun.

The story was initially posted late last night, however, it was amended this afternoon after Dec took to Twitter to criticise the headline, sarcastically calling it “charming”.

“You give the old razor a rest for a few days and you’re labelled ‘dishevelled’,” read Dec’s clapback to the online publisher. “I’ll be sure to dig out my tux next time I pop to Sainers,” he jokingly responded.

In the coming weeks, the TV presenting duo are expected to fly out to Australia to begin preparations for this year’s I’m a Celebrity.
