Sigh.

Look, we’re nothing short of obsessed with Love Island so forgive us for rolling our eyes anyone who dares to question it as a programme and, let’s face it, a cultural phenomenon.

Dean Gaffney, of all people, has been giving out about the show, claiming that anyone who goes on it hasn’t been brought up well.

He also said he wouldn’t allow his daughters, 21-year-old twins Chloe and Charlotte, to audition for it.

“I think anyone that goes on a reality show to open their legs and have sex on telly hasn’t been brought up well in my opinion,” he told the Daily Star newspaper.

“It’s not right and I certainly don’t want to have my daughters on that.

“They don’t want to do Love Island. They have their own careers. They’ve both done well and I am proud of them. They have been brought up well.”

OK.

First of all, people go on the show to get brand deals on Instagram, not “open their legs”. Wake up, Dean.

Secondly, sex is sex. No harm in it. If you don’t like Love Island, just switch it off and have fun being the only person in work who doesn’t understand what went on between Zara, Adam and Rosie.

Dean’s co-star Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani Dyer is currently on the show.
