After Dark trail returns to Tayto Park just in time for Halloween

Ellen Fitzpatrick

It’s back.

After Dark is officially back at Tayto Park this Halloween and to really make the most of it, they have announced a brand new trail to go with it.

Tricky Trail at Tayto Park is a new family adventure experience at the theme park and is set to be full of all things spooky

With a treasure hunt for kids, the new trail is set to be filled with “spooky stories, spell casting, magical performances, and fun”.

Opening on October 23rd, the 45-minute experience must be pre-booked to ensure manageable numbers and social distancing is maintained.

Once you get there, you collect your map and help find lost items in your own Halloween trick or treat bag, but that won’t be the only treat you’re in for.

With spooky games aimed at all ages and a chance to step inside the “Haunted Halls”, you’ll have to put on your bravest face as you take a seat in the Scare Chair for a picture to remember.

Uncover the lost items by visiting the Scarecrows Barn and the Vampires Castle before entering the Freaky Forrest and Witches Layer.

Then continue on to the Hay Bales Maze and Wandering Walkthrough, before gathering around the Hatters Hut for some “storytelling and mystery”.

By the end of the spooky adventure, you finish up at the Tricky Trail Treat Tent to collect your ultimate trick or treat bag.

Tayto Park’s After Dark returns this Halloween from October 23rd and 30th from 6pm – 10pm as part of a special night entry.

With all the iconic attractions open, you’ll be able to have your night of fun as well as get a bite to eat at the Tayto Argentinian Grill from 7pm.

The Tricky Trail is suitable for ages 3-12 and is open from 11am to 4pm from October 23rd to 31st. After Dark is noted to have no scares, just attractions and costs €15 per person, or €10 per person for members.

Both must be pre-booked.
