“I was trying to come back to X Factor here as it fell that I’d be in the country at the same time as the Judges’ Houses, so I thought I could join up with Cheryl or something,” she told the Manchester Evening News.
However, the X Factor Australia judge admitted that due to changes in the format this year, it wasn’t possible.
“But sadly, they’re filming the Judges’ Houses live this year, so it didn’t work out."

“I would never rule out coming back though,” she continued.
“I’d love to and I love the support here, when people stop me on the street and say ‘we miss you on the show’.”
This year’s X Factor kicked off last Saturday and Sunday, with a new-look judging panel to include Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.
