Corrie’s Alex Bain denies he and his pregnant girlfriend have split

Alex Bain has said that he and girlfriend Levi Selby are still together.

Alex, who plays Simon Barlow on Coronation Street, told The Sun that despite rumours he and Levi Selby haven't broken up. "I’m still with my girlfriend, and can’t wait to have my own little family!," he said. Levi prompted speculation that they had gone their separate ways with a post on Facebook last month. "Me and my little girl from now on!," she captioned a photo of a the baby's scan. A source told the publication that Alex had ended things with her. "She was proud to tell the world she and Alex were going to be parents. "But things haven’t been running smoothly between them and now he’s told her it’s over. Everyone’s hoping it’s not because he already feels tied down.” Alex and Levi, who are both 16, announced that they were expecting a baby in May. "Alex has been telling everyone he’s going to be a father," a source said. "He isn’t keeping it a secret. "It’s hard to tell if he’s happy about it or not but he’s definitely not ashamed of it. The couple have been together since April of 2017 and are due their baby in December. Alex’s portrayal of Simon on Corrie saw him win Best Young Performance at the British Soap Awards in 2011. He has been on the show for 10 years and has received four more nominations during this time.
