Corrie Star Ben Price on Upcoming “Cliffhanger”

Coronation Street star Ben Price has spoken out about what’s in store for his onscreen alter ego. The actor, who plays Nick Tilsley, has revealed that his character’s former fling Erica Holroyd (Claire King) is about to drop a bombshell. A baby bombshell. In Friday night’s episode (May 1st) Erica is going to tell Nick that she is pregnant, derailing the budding romance between him and Carla Connor (Alison King). Nick and Carla have been growing closer in recent weeks. Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Ben explained: “It’s not (good)… The audience think that they are going to get together and then Erica comes back. “She drops the bombshell and Nick decides to do the right thing and stick by her. But does he? It’s a cliffhanger.” His former fling drops a bombshell this week. He continued: “It’s the way it works in soaps! That is where the drama is. “There is a spark with him and Carla, but Erica has come back into the story and that is tricky. I think Nick wants to do the right thing. He wants to do the right thing.”
