Bosses at Coronation Street are reportedly looking further into an incident whereby an actress allegedly lied about her age in order to get a role in the long-running soap.
According to reports, Katie Redford who was cast to play 14-year-old Bethany (the daughter of Sarah-Louise Platt) has been shown to have lied about her age.
It has been claimed Katie lied about her age.
Reports state that when Katie auditioned for the part she allegedly claimed to be 19 years of age.
It has been reported by The Sun however that the actress is in fact 25, as her Twitter page reportedly shows pictures from her 25th birthday.
A spokesperson for the show stated that they will be “looking into it”.
