The Windass Family Is Set For Some Serious Drama on the Cobbles Next Week

The Windass family is set for some serious drama in Coronation Street next week when 13-year-old Faye gives birth. According to Digital Spy the repercussions of this affect the whole family, especially her stepfather Owen (Ian Puleston-Davies). Let’s just say he doesn’t take the news too well and ends up lashing out at Faye’s friend Craig Tinker who he assumes is the father. Speaking about the upcoming baby drama, Ian said: “It's a massive test when tradition and his own upbringing comes up against the 21st century with a smash against a brick wall to discover that his 13-year-old step-daughter is pregnant. It's a real shock. “I think it's her age. He's of a generation where it's more than frowned upon for a 13-year-old to be pregnant. Faye is a very young 13-year-old as well, she's a child, and it's a horrifying discovery for Owen.” Craig lashes out at Craig (image via ITV). His reaction and treatment of Craig also makes his partner Anna question the future of their relationship. Ian revealed: “She's horrified, there's a wonderful shot where she's getting out of a taxi and she looks over and witnesses the scuffle. I think in her eyes you see it's the last straw, this is the final nail in the coffin for Owen. They both know he's overstepped the mark and that's the nail.” Speaking about his exit from the show, the actor explained: “I don't mind having a break from Owen, I need some space from him. He's been quite an exhausting character to play and he's annoying, his attitude has really got on my nerves at times. “But I've loved my time at Corrie, I've joked that I'll miss the buildings not the people but it couldn't be further from the truth, I've made some great friends and had a fantastic five years.”
