CONGRATS! Kim and Kanye welcome baby number three

Congratulations are in order for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West who have reportedly welcomed their third child. Yes, Kim made the announcement revealing that their surrogate gave birth yesterday to their second daughter, with the baby weighing just 7lbs 6oz. Revealing the news on her website, Kim said:

“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. “North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

The pair chose to use a surrogate for their third child after Kim was diagnosed with placenta accreta, the life-threatening condition that caused serious complications during the birth of the mum’s second child, Saint. Kim previously spoke about the reaction from her other children to the news that they would be getting a new sibling. Sharing a sweet story on Ellen, Kim said North was already looking forward to having a baby sister.

"My daughter thinks she’s really tricky. We had a baby shower over the weekend, and I thought, 'You know, I really do want to have a baby shower because I want her to feel that something’s coming and for her to really understand it'. "So, people brought toys and gifts and she was opening them all up the next day. And she goes, 'Mom, since baby sister’s not here, I think I need all of her toys in my room and I'll play with them and make sure they’re all okay for baby sister'."

Kim and Kanye are already parents to four-year-old North and two-year-old Saint.
