It was regarding a joke with one contestant, Judge Rinder.
Viewers of Strictly Come Dancing were left rolling their eyes last night as Peter Kay made a surprise appearance.
The comedian made a surprise appearance to help TV host Claudia Winkleman read out the voter’s terms and conditions but it was other actions that left people annoyed at the the 43-year-old Brit.
Bizarrely dressed in a yellow high-vis jacket, Peter waded in and tried to give Strictly contestant Judge Rinder a hug.
As the openly gay Judge leaned to give him a hug Peter suddenly jumped away saying “Steady, steady. Watch me lad. Watch it.” He then pointed towards Judge Rinder’s bum and said “This case is firmly closed”.
Viewers took issue with the fact that Peter Kay joked while using the stereotype of gay men being predatory.
Can someone tell #PeterKay that 1970's homophobic humour is NOT acceptable on TV anymore! #Strictly https://t.co/5qK5oXqCaH

Am I the only one saddened to see #PeterKay rehashing homophobic tropes about predatory gay men in his reactions to #judgerinder #strictly

Judge Rinder laughing too hard at a joke that wasn't funny, tells me he didn't find it funny at all. #peterkay #Strictly
