Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly have expressed what everyone’s thinking about Len Goodman leaving Strictly

Sad times.

It’s a sad day.

As Strictly fans have probably heard, head judge Len Goodman is leaving Strictly Come Dancing and basically, it will never be the same again.

People are surprised, disappointed and a little sad about Len’s decision to leave the show after this year’s series with many taking to Twitter to express their dismay.

Some of the nicest tributes came from Len’s Strictly colleagues: Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman both said exactly what we’re all thinking.

DON’T GO LEN.

Tess said:

“SO sorry Len will leaving us at BBC Strictly Come Dancing after this series, after 12 wonderful, wonderful years.

I have loved every moment of him being on the show, with that cheeky sense of humour and those magnificent seveeeerrrns! Len you’re not just a Goodman – you’re a GREAT man and we love you dearly XXX”

Claudia said:

“I love you Len Goodman. You are Strictly and you’re actually not allowed to leave. End of discussion”.

Speaking about his departure, Len himself said:

“In 2004, I was asked to take part in a brand new BBC Saturday night show and who would have thought me, old Len Goodman, would still be part of this amazing series more than 10 years on.

“This adventure began when I was 60 and now that I’ve reached my 70s, I’ve decided after this year it’s time to hand the role of Head Judge to someone else.

“It is an honour being part of the wonderful Strictly Come Dancing family and I’m looking forward to my last series very much and to whatever comes next”.
