Cheryl has responded to a question about her relationship

Cheryl Tweedy gave her first TV interview since news broke that her relationship with Liam Payne was under strain.

According to sources, his work schedule has had an impact on their relationship with people speculating that they could break up in the next few weeks. Amidst all of this, Cheryl made a public appearance at her charity centre in Newcastle. The Princes Trust Cheryl's Trust Centre is a fundraising campaign and centre which helps support the most vulnerable young people in the Newcastle region. Cheryl paid a visit to the centre today to meet with some of the young people who are seeking help from it.

While she was there, BBC Breakfast did a special report. During the broadcast, she spoke about the impact that the centre has on the community but was also forced to deflect a question about her love life. She said, "My centre can help people who are feeling lost and that means the world to me. I wanted to partner with the Prince's Trust because I related to their cause. We really are the perfect marriage." At the end of the chat, the presenter asked Cheryl how she feels about her personal life coming under scrutiny, to which she responded, "None of that matters."
