Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Is NOT Happy with Nick Grimshaw

They might have looked like they were getting on in Rita Ora’s selfie but it seems Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw haven’t gotten off to the best of starts on the X Factor panel. According to The Sun, Cheryl was less than impressed when Nick called her ‘Cole’ during one of the London auditions this week. The newspaper claims that the former Girls Aloud star responded sharply, saying: “It’s Cheryl or Chezza!” Rita then said she was “backing away” while Simon Cowell remarked: “Awkward, awkward!” This year's X Factor panel (image: Twitter). Last year X Factor warm-up host Ian Royce apologised for making a similar mistake (he called her ‘Cole’ rather than ‘Fernandez-Versini’). At the time she commented: “It’s not hard to pronounce my name phonetically… It wasn’t hard to say unless you were arrogant and had no common sense.” Chezza took on ‘Cole’ when she married footballer Ashley Cole. She dropped it last summer when she married Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
