The British Soap Awards nominations are in

EastEnders leads the way with nominations.

The stars of the soap world are due to battle it out later this month.

The nominations for the prestigious British Soap Awards have been announced. EastEnders leads the way with the most nominations, having received 14, while Coronation Street and Emmerdale both received 13 nominations and Doctors received 10.

For the overall award on the night, recognising the best soap, EastEnders will be back to defend their title having won the award last year.

The awards will be hosted by Phillip Schofield and will be shown on ITV.
