The news has shocked viewers.
The final of Britain’s Got Talent aired on Sunday night, but the winner has since been surrounded in controversy.
According to reports, winner Jules O’Dwyer has admitted that for her routine with dog Matisse, she used a stunt double dog.
Viewers of the popular talent show were stunned when Matisse walked a tightrope during the finale, but now have taken to Twitter in fury after the news broke that Matisse did not actually perform the trick.
“Matisse is a little bit afraid of heights so although he could officially do it, Chase is the action dog, so he plays the double for him,” Jules told Lorraine Kelly when speaking on Lorraine on Monday.
The revelation has sparked outrage from fans, who had not been told that Chase had been used for the act during Sunday’s show.
I’ve just been informed that Matisse had a stunt double doing the tightrope walk. Absolutely fuming. I voted for that dog!!!!

Hmmm – so appears Matisse and Jules duped the nation by using a ‘stunt’ dog to perform the tightrope part of last night’s act. #bgt
