We could soon be seeing Benedict Cumberbatch sipping a pint in the Queen Vic pub…
EastEnder‘s producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has revealed that the Sherlock actor promised him he would do a cameo on the BBC soap when his schedule allows.
Speaking at the Radio Times Festival, Dominic revealed: “I really want Benedict Cumberbatch to come and do a turn.
“And he says he’ll come and do it but he is slightly busy.”
The pair are pals ever since going to school together, and Dominic recalled one of his earliest memories of the Oscar-winning actor.
He remembered: “He was the year above me at school and I remember doing the Shakespeare play As You Like It.
“I remember afterwards running up to my mum to see if I was any good and she said, ‘Yeah, you were fine but that Benedict is an actor’.”
Better brush up on that Cockney accent, Benedict – because we’ll be holding you to this one!
