Surprise, surprise, said nobody.
Last night, the Love Island preview rocked a few boats.
Most notably, the boat of every single person who was watching the show who couldn’t for the life of them figure out why Belle was chucking a glass of unknown liquid over Molly-Mae.
Has Molly made a play for Anton? people wondered. Has she dragged their relationship?
Has she gone and admitted that she doesn’t actually like Tommy and is allegedly only with him to win £50k even though she’ll easily make more than £50k with her own sponsorship deals and online retailer edits?
No, none of the above, actually.
The unknown liquid throwing is, in fact, simply part of a challenge that the islanders are going to be taking part in tonight called ‘The Sidebar of Shame.’
In it, the contestants will be presented with a series of newspaper headlines about themselves with some of the words removed.
They then have to guess who they think the headline is about and throw a glass of water over the person they think the headline refers to.
Simple.
In the garden, Amber receives a text, which reads: “BREAKING NEWS. Islanders, it’s time to find out who has hit the headlines in today’s challenge.”
The, ahem, game leads to Molly-Mae and Tommy discovering that people think their relationship is fake and that Molly is “bored,”
It also causes to Ovie find out that Amber’s mum thinks her daughter fancies him, and proves that Chris does not having a clue what is going on, ever.
We don’t know just yet what headline Belle thinks is about Molly-Mae, but we can probably go ahead and presume it’s something about her being hungry for the £50k.
It always is, like.
