It all kicks off when Shona discovers that David has been keeping a knife in his pocket, which his daughter, Lily, then found and subsequently began to play with.
A dangerous enough scenario, as we are all well aware.
Shona then confronts David about leaving knifes in his pockets - which he most likely does due to the PTSD surrounding his sexual assault - leading him to make a sneering comment about Shona's son, Clayton.
Clayton murdered David's wife, Kylie, a few years back - an event which, understandably, hit the Platt lad fairly hard.
Later on, David apologies and tells Shona that he's gotten rid of the knife.
Which is all well and good until you consider that David is clearly still dealing with the trauma of his ordeal caused by Josh and that it's going to take a lot more than throwing away a weapon to address that.
The storyline is due to kick off next week.
