Apparently we’ve been saying Chrissy Teigen’s name WRONG this whole time

Chrissy Teigen is one of our favourite celebrities to follow on social media. Yes, the mum-of-two keeps things real online and it’s a big reason why we love her and feel we know her so well. However, turns out we don't know her as well as we thought at all because we’ve been saying Chrissy’s name wrong this entire time. Yep, hate to break it to you ladies but you probably have been too and will be equally surprised to learn the real pronunciation. Chrissy revealed the earth-shattering news today, telling fans that ‘Teigen’ isn’t actually pronounced ‘Tee-gen’.

“Gave up a long time ago,” Chrissy said on Twitter. “Last name is ‘Tie-gen’ not ‘Tee-gen’.”

Chrissy revealed the news after one fan praised her for never calling anyone on their mispronunciation.

“You know how innocent you have to be to allow a world to pronounce your last name wrong your whole life and just go along with it?” they wrote.

And now Chrissy’s gotten so used to the new incorrect pronunciation that she’s started believing it’s actually her name.

“I even correct people when they say it correctly – it’s all V effed up.”

Christ, this is all very confusing.
