Ant and Dec under fire for comments about Janice Dickinson’s appearance

“Some of her face is similar”

The first ever season of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here All Stars aired last night.

It welcomed nine contestants back into the jungle but this time, it’s not in Australia or even Wales and there’s no public vote.

Last night was the first episode that saw celebrities take on their first trial in South Africa.

Some of the famous faces back on our screens include TV personality, Carol Vorderman, actress Helen Flanagan and former Royal butler, Paul Burrell.

Former American supermodel, Janice Dickinson also returned for the All Star series.

Janice made her mark during her last appearance on the show which was in 2007 when she finished in second place behind Christopher Biggins.

She held the record for most trials done by a contestant (10) until Emmerdale actor, Adam Thomas topped it by 2.

“You look like you’re in prison”

Janice looked to be enjoying herself, as much as one possibly could considering she was in the middle of an African jungle doing Bushtucker trials.

As Ant and Dec walked into camp to welcome the contestants back to the show, Janice greeted her “boyfriends” by saying they looked like they were dressed for prison.

She said: “I missed you so much. You look younger.

“That’s what you wear? You look like you are in prison!”

The duo seemed up for a bit of a laugh too and responded: “Thanks, Janice. We are in South Africa, this is like safari wear.”

The three continued back and forth until Ant and Dec joked about Janice’s face.

They alluded that she got a lot of work done and said “some of her face is similar”.

Bit disappointed in @antanddec last night, making a playful joke about Janice’s plastic surgery. I get it is done in jest but it’s essentially saying “it’s ok to mock the way people look” and we have enough of that with the press and social media, we don’t need it from them too.

Fans were not impressed with Ant and Dec’s comments about Janice.

Many thought the pair crossed the line and that the comments were simply uncalled for.

One person wrote: “I bet @antanddec wouldn’t dare say anything about Carol’s face but think it’s funny to say it about Janice’s #ImACeleb“

Viewers are delighted to have Janice back with many saying she was the best contestant from the entire show.

One fan said: “Janice is the best cast member from the past handful of seasons.”

Another comment read: “So pleased Janice Dickinson is back she is so funny. Always makes me chuckle, awesome celebrity.”

Others are less enthusiastic to have herself and Paul Burrell on the show again because they’re a tad bit dramatic apparently.
