Looking for love?
A brand new dating show is coming to Irish tellies, and Anna Geary (of Ireland’s Fittest Family fame) is coming on board as the host.
The series is titled Love in the Country and it airs on RTÉ next year.
Love in the Country sees seven folks from rural backgrounds embark on a quest for love, despite the geographical difficulties that occasionally disrupts their dating lives.
The seven participants have already been selected, and they’ve each posted a short video detailing what they’re looking for in a partner.
Andy from Mullingar is a farmer on the hunt for a woman who is up for a bit of craic, but also shares his ambition to build a home and start a family together.
Rob is a pharmacist and a farmer from West Cork, and he’s teamed up with Love in the Country to help him find love, as he himself is a bit “time poor”.
Jano, from Wexford, owns a coffee shop, and he hopes Love in the Country will help him find a partner who shares his drive and ambition.
Edwina, who hails from Co. Mayo, is a proud camper van owner, and she’s after someone who will join her on her adventures.
Land custodian George, from Carlow, is keen to find someone who appreciates the beauty and power of nature the same way he does.
Publican Fiona, from Donegal, states that a priority for her in a partner is their ability to have a laugh.
Vet nursing student Alanagh, meanwhile fancies finding someone who is unafraid to muck in on the farm she runs with her brother.
The full dating profiles are available to watch here.
