David Attenborough’s Conquest of The Skies – Sky 1 (7.00pm) In this new series the wildlife expert takes a closer look at the animals who have taken to the skies, starting with the insect. EastEnders – BBC One (8.30pm) The New Year gets off to an explosive start as more secrets are revealed and unearthed by the residents of Albert Square. Atonement – TG4 (9.30pm) A 13-year-old girl accuses her sister’s boyfriend of a terrible crime, changing their lives forever. Drama with Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.
