Amber and Greg nearly doubled Molly-Mae and Tommy’s votes in the Love Island final

You’ll never beat the Irish, etc.

Earlier this week, Love Island ended.

It was a sorry state of affairs for everybody except for Greg and Amber who went and won the whole thing because they are both nice people.

And, as it turns out, they actually won the show by quite a big margin too.

According to Digital Spy, the Limerick lad and Newcastle gal earned a substantial 48.82 percent of the final vote on Monday.

This is almost double the votes that second place couple Tommy and Molly-Mae garnered, coming in at 25.56 percent.

India and Ovie came third with 18.21 percent of the vote and Curtis and Maura landed in fourth place with 7.40 percent.

Since winning the show, Greg has travelled to Amber’s hometown to meet the rest of her family that he didn’t happen to run into during his last week in the villa.

Greg, unsurprisingly, decided to split the £50k winnings with Amber, proving that he is, indeed, a nice man as we all presumed.

The final Love Island: Aftersun – detailing each of the finalists’ trips home – will air this Sunday.

It’s then that we’ll find out one way or another whether Tommy and Molly-Mae are still together, after both made the decision to stay off social media since arriving back in the UK.

Their silence has led to rumours of their split, however it’s also fairly likely that they’re simply taking a bit of time to decompress after the intensity of the series.

Meanwhile, Curtis has since travelled to Longford to meet Maura’s friends and family.

We can only presume that the above went well.
