Amazon Prime is releasing a series based on The New York Times ‘Modern Love’ essays

Beautiful.

One to watch.

If you’ve ever read one of The New York Times Modern Love essays then you’ll understand the buzz around them being brought to life. If not, let me explain.

The New York Times posts a column called “Modern Love” that takes in personal essays from readers about their love life, struggles in love, lost love and found love. The essays highlight all the challenges we have in love, the different type of love that exists and the ability to love again.

One of my favourite essays ever is titled You May Want to Marry my Husband. I often share it on my social platforms from time to time as it’s honestly one of my favourite things I’ve ever read.

I’d suggest you read it too but, prepare for tears.

Anyways, I’ve my fingers crossed that the above essay is included in the series as they’re only taking eight stories out of the 750 written since 2004 to bring to life in this series.

And what’s even better? We already know there’s going to be a stellar cast taking to the screen for certain episodes. One of which includes Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Dev Patel and Julia Garner.

The story is about “exploring love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms” explains the director John Carney and Anne Hathaway herself stated this concept is really “fresh”.

We’re intrigued and very excited.

Modern Love will premiere on Amazon Prime, October 18.
