A Coronation Street actress has quit the show

We'll definitely be tuning in to see what her exit storyline will be.

Waitress in Nick's Bistro, Steph Britton, will be leaving the soap as actress Tisha Merry has left the show. After 4 years acting on the long-running soap, 23-year-old Tisha Merry has quit Coronation Street. Reportedly, the actress has already filmed her farewell scenes, which viewers can expect to see in the new year. According to The Sun, a source close to the Coronation Street cast and crew said:

"Tish has had an amazing couple of years where she’s been at the fore of some of Corrie’s biggest storylines, but feels it’s now time for a change."

The actress was reportedly pictured filming scenes with brother Luke from the soap at Manchester Airport, meaning the pair could leave the country for good. Fans lost their minds last week when fellow Corrie actress Catherine Tyldesley hinted that Tisha could be leaving, captioning an image of the pair of them "...these sexy ladies. Gonna miss our Tish."
