Remember when you were younger and your Mom put that video in the VCR (none of that DVD rubbish) and left you to your own devices for a couple of hours? However, when she came back you were in floods of tears because of something that happened to/with one of the main characters. That trend continued into your teen years. Here are ten things that happened in movies that we will never get over.
1. Bambi's Mother.
This was a kid's film. Honestly, a kid's film.
2. Rhett leaves Scarlett O'Hara.
If you stop the film about twenty minutes before this happens, you can pretend that Rhett never left.
3. ET dies.
He comes back so it's all fine in the end, but for a while there, it was really touch and go.
4. Rocky Loses.
Adrian.... AAADDRRIIANNN.
5. Bill Sikes kills Nancy.
When you were a child, watching Oliver was definitely a fairly traumatic experience.
6. He Can't See Without His Glasses!
My Girl. Just no. Heartbreaking.
7. The Death of Mufasa
Why would you put this in a kid's film? WHY?
8. Ellie in Up.
If you didn't cry at this, you definitely have a heart of stone. Too much.
9. Snape's Death
We barely got over all the rest of the death's in the series, but Snape's was most definitely the worst.
10. Dumbo's Mother Gets Captured
That tear! Oh my God, please make it stop.
*As per requests from pretty much everyone in the Her.ie office, we will be doing a part 2 of things we will never get over. There are just too many. How do we function on a daily basis?!
