… to just her general charm, we’re big fans of that winning smile
So we were a little surprised to hear she wasn’t the first choice for the role.
The role that made Julia Roberts a household name was originally offered to Meg Ryan, with both Winona Ryder and Jennifer Connolly auditioning for the part.
Thankfully director Garry Marshall was convinced that Roberts was our Vivienne of choice after watching her in Steel Magnolias.
